MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WMBF) – A low-magnitude earthquake struck South Carolina Thursday morning.

A tweet from the S.C. Emergency Management Division page states the U.S. Geological Survey reported a 2.0-magnitude quake occurred near the city of Cayce.

Cayce is located in both Lexington and Richland counties and is part of the Columbia Metropolitan Statistical Area.
